Meta Conversions API on Shopify, deduplicated and matched properly.

We set up the Conversions API alongside your Meta pixel so every Shopify purchase reaches Meta once, with the right value and enough customer data to match it to the ad.

  • No duplicate purchases
  • Event Match Quality checked per event
  • Fixed price after a free check

Most Shopify CAPI setups are on, but not right.

Turning on the Conversions API takes a few clicks. Making it count every order once, with values that match Shopify and customer data Meta can match, is where most stores fall short.

Duplicate purchases
The pixel and the server send different event IDs, so Meta counts orders twice and reported ROAS is inflated.
Low Event Match Quality
Purchases sent without email, phone or click IDs are hard for Meta to tie to an ad.
Wrong values
Tax, shipping, discounts or currency handled differently from Shopify.
Too many sources
The Facebook and Instagram app, a theme pixel, GTM and an app all sending purchases at once.

What's included

Pixel and CAPI audit

Events Manager compared with Shopify orders for 30 days, plus every source currently sending events to your pixel.

One clean source per event

Leftover pixels, theme code and duplicate apps removed, so each event has exactly one browser and one server source.

Deduplication

Shared event IDs between the pixel and the Conversions API for purchases and funnel events, verified in Events Manager.

Customer information parameters

Hashed email, phone, name, address and external ID, plus fbp and fbc click identifiers, sent with every event that has them.

Values that match Shopify

One revenue definition, store currency and content IDs that match your Meta catalog.

Full funnel events

ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout and Purchase, so Meta can optimize earlier in the funnel too.

Consent handling

Events respect your cookie banner and Shopify customer privacy settings.

Verification and handover

Test events, a 14-day comparison against Shopify and documentation of the final setup.

Common questions

Anything else, ask in the free check form or email hello@goodnumbers.io.

Is Shopify's Facebook and Instagram app enough for the Conversions API?

For many stores, yes, when its data sharing is set to the highest level and nothing else is sending purchases to the same pixel. We check that first and only add a tracking app or server-side GTM when there is a real gap.

Why does Meta show more purchases than Shopify?

Part of it is attribution: Meta counts purchases within its click and view windows. Part can be duplicate events, which we fix. Our guide on Meta versus Shopify revenue explains the difference.

What is a good Event Match Quality score?

For purchases, aim for 8 or above out of 10. Scores improve when you send more customer information parameters with each event.

Will this change my reported ROAS?

Removing duplicates lowers inflated numbers, and better matching recovers real purchases. The goal is a number that matches what actually happened, so budget decisions hold up.

How long does it take?

Usually one to two weeks including testing and a short monitoring period.
