A GA4 audit for Shopify that checks your data against real orders.

We go through your GA4 property, tags and Shopify setup, match GA4 purchases to Shopify orders one by one, and give you a fix list in priority order.

  • Order-level matching, not a settings checklist
  • Read-only access
  • Written report with a prioritized fix list

GA4 looks fine until someone checks it against Shopify.

Most GA4 problems on Shopify are silent. Reports still fill up, so nobody notices that purchases are missing, doubled or credited to the wrong channel.

Missing purchases
Often since a checkout change, a theme update or Shopify's move to Customer events.
Duplicate purchases
Two setups sending the same order, which inflates revenue and conversion rate.
Direct and unassigned traffic
Purchases sent without the right client and session IDs lose their source.
Consent gaps
Banners that block GA4 entirely or never send Consent Mode signals to Google.

Common questions

Anything else, ask in the free check form or email hello@goodnumbers.io.

What is the difference between the free tracking check and a GA4 audit?

The free check measures how many orders each platform records and points at the biggest problem. The audit goes through every part of GA4 and the Shopify setup, matches orders one by one, and gives you a complete fix list.

Do you need edit access to GA4 or Shopify?

No. The audit runs on read-only access. Edit access is only needed if you ask us to implement the fixes.

Will GA4 ever match Shopify exactly?

No. Consent, ad blockers and orders that never touch a browser mean GA4 will always see fewer orders. A healthy setup usually captures 90% or more of Shopify online store orders, and the audit shows how close you are.

Does the audit cover Google Ads and Meta too?

It focuses on GA4, and it checks the GA4 to Google Ads link and conversion import. For Meta, see our Meta Conversions API setup service, or ask for both together.

How long does it take?

Usually five to seven business days from access to report for a single Shopify store.
